CDM Supplier Sumitomo Electrical Interconnect Products Opens New Manufacturing Facility in California

CDM Inc. today announced the opening of their supplier Sumitomo’s new shrink tubing manufacturing location in San Marcos, California. Sumitomo’s facility features new, high-capacity production equipment that will provide an enhanced inventory position for CDM, and assure shorter lead times for nonstandard products. Focus shrink tubing lines at the new production facility will be the long-shelf-life  B2 product group (QPL 23053/1 Class 1 and 5 series) and SumiMark imprintable SM3-12 series (which also adheres to QPL 23053/1 Class 1 and 5.) There will also be new manufacturing capabilities for the versatile translucent, extended-shelf-life K (23053/8) shrink tubing series. “Adding manufacturing capacity for CDM’s most popular lines of shrink tubing shows Sumitomo’s commitment to providing service and support to our mutual customer base” stated Christina Harrison, CDM’s Product Manager for shrink tubing and other cable identification systems. CDM has a comprehensive offering of Sumitomo products including new long-life QPL’d and specialty shrink tubing for military aerospace, commercial, telecom, medical and industrial applications. CDM is also a stocking distributor of Sumitomo’s military-spec wire connection sleeves, the SumiMark and SumTag identification systems and a full selection of supporting printing supplies.
